AMAG Austria Metall AG received five prestigious awards in various categories in October 2023, which reflect the company's commitment in the areas of sustainability, digitalisation and responsible corporate governance. The awards confirm the success in the implementation of the corporate strategy with a clear focus on sustainability, innovation and specialised products, diversity and the human touch.

Austrian SDG Award: Austrian Sustainability Award
This award is given to companies that are committed to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations. AMAG was named the winner in the "Corporate" category for implementing comprehensive measures in the areas of recycling, emission reduction and responsibility along the supply chain.

Green Business Data Award: 1st place for emissions reduction through digitalisation
AMAG received first place in the Green Business Data Award for its efficient use of environmental and sustainability data to achieve environmental goals. The award-winning "AMAG BigData for Predictive Quality" project makes it possible to identify quality deviations in the ongoing production process at an early stage, and to avoid unnecessary use of energy and resources.

Austria's Leading Companies Award: 1st place as a major company in Upper Austria
This prize was awarded on the basis of the balance sheet ratios and the economic performance over the last three financial years. AMAG received the first place due to its stable and successful development despite trade conflicts, pandemic and price volatility on the energy and commodity markets.

Effective Sustainability Communication Award: Award for transparent communication
AMAG Austria Metall AG was honoured for the third time in a row with the Effective Sustainability Communication Award. The prize recognises the company's ability to effectively communicate complex concepts and measures in the area of sustainability, both internally and externally. AMAG attaches great importance to the transparent communication of its commitment in the area of sustainability.

Best Business Award: Bronze for sustainable corporate governance
AMAG Austria Metall AG received the Bronze Best Business Award for sustainable corporate governance. This prize was awarded by the "Best Business Association", a tri-national entrepreneurial network in the European region of Danube-Moldova, which comprises regions in Austria, Bavaria and the Czech Republic. The award honours AMAG's comprehensive competence in the fields of recycling, the sustainable production of aluminium, innovation and the manufacture of specialised products. The commitment to their employees and the social activities in the region was underlined.
