AMAG has again received the "Accredited Supplier" award from Airbus

  • Airbus has once again presented AMAG with the highest of four quality awards 
  • At this level, AMAG is currently the only supplier of rolled products to have received this award twice. 
  • Award for outstanding delivery reliability and product quality 
  • Successful partnership between AMAG and Airbus since 2005
     

AMAG Austria Metall AG has received the "Accredited Supplier" award from Airbus. This is the highest of four quality awards that the European aircraft manufacturer bestows on its suppliers. This also makes AMAG currently the only supplier of rolled products that has been awarded at this highest level. AMAG had already received this award twice in succession, most recently in 2020. 

The award is given for outstanding delivery reliability and excellent product quality and is part of the Supply Chain & Quality Improvement (SQIP) program. Airbus runs this program together with selected premium suppliers in order to ensure continuous improvement throughout the entire supply chain.

AMAG and Airbus have enjoyed a successful partnership since 2005. In July 2016, the largest multi-year supply contract ever negotiated between AMAG and Airbus was signed. The subject matter is certified rolled products, which are used for the structure and outer skin of all Airbus aircraft families, as well as a stronger integration of AMAG into the Airbus supply chain through joint recycling projects and initiatives to increase material efficiency.
