Early extension of Management Board contracts of Gerald Mayer and Helmut Kaufmann
At its meeting on November 19, 2015, the Supervisory Board of AMAG Austria Metall AG passed a unanimous resolution to implement an early extension of the Management Board contracts of Chief Financial Officer Gerald Mayer and Chief Technology Officer Helmut Kaufmann until December 31, 2019.

Ground-breaking ceremony for a further plant extension in Ranshofen: AMAG initiates 300 million EUR investment
A project of the future is starting to become a reality: In the presence of 160 guests, the ground-breaking ceremony for the large-scale investment named “AMAG 2020” took place today in Ranshofen. With this step, AMAG is embarking on the construction of a new cold-rolling mill and also expanding its heat treatment capacity and other upgrading equipment. Casting will also be extended to secure the supply of input materials and increase recycling capacity. More than 300 million EUR are going into the plant extension, creating in excess of 250 new jobs.

AMAG wins Upper Austria’s Award for Innovation 2015
AMAG took top spot in the Award for Innovation in the large company category this year. The Award for Innovation is sponsored by the federal state of Upper Austria. The ceremony held at ORF’s regional studio in Linz on 9 September saw the company recognised for its extremely innovative special aluminium alloy which goes by the name of AMAG TopForm® UHS.

AMAG receives prestigious Golden Pegasus award
AMAG is one of Austria’s top investors - as convincingly demonstrated by this years’ Pegasus awards, the Province of Upper Austria’s most prestigious business award. CEO Helmut Wieser and his two fellow Management Board members Dr. Helmut Kaufmann and Gerald Mayer accepted the coveted Pegasus statuette in gold in the Investor Excellence category (“Investitionskaiser”) on behalf of AMAG.

AMAG Austria Metall AG has made a good start to the 2015 financial year both in relation to its current site expansion in Ranshofen, and in operational terms.

AMAG receives award for outstanding site commitment
There is a happy mood at AMAG today, as the company was awarded with the Bronze "Site Corona 2015". The award recognises Upper Austrian companies that between 2012 and 2014 have invested in Upper Austria helping to retain jobs or create new ones.
For the past 20 years AMAG has been on a steady growth path, which received a further boost with the commissioning of a new hot rolling mill in September 2014 and with the planned construction of a new cold rolling mill.

The 2014 financial year proved to be both eventful and successful for AMAG Austria Metal AG with regard to both corporate development and its operating business.
Important milestones to further secure the profitable growth path were achieved with the commissioning of the new hot rolling mill and the approval of the "AMAG 2020" project.
