AMAG is one of Austria’s top investors - as convincingly demonstrated by this years’ Pegasus awards, the Province of Upper Austria’s most prestigious business award. CEO Helmut Wieser and his two fellow Management Board members Dr. Helmut Kaufmann and Gerald Mayer accepted the coveted Pegasus statuette in gold in the Investor Excellence category (“Investitionskaiser”) on behalf of AMAG. The award was presented on June 11, 2015 during the Gala Night of Business held at the Brucknerhaus in Linz.
AMAG received the bronze “Location-Corona 2015“ award from the Federation of Austrian Industries in recognition of their outstanding support for the local economy. The award recognizes companies who have invested either money or created or retained jobs in Upper Austria between 2012 and 2014.
AMAG has been on a steady growth trajectory for the last 20 years. The start-up of a new hot rolling mill in September 2014 and the planned construction of a new cold rolling mill have added to the momentum.
For the third time in a row, AMAG has been awarded the highly coveted “Quality Seal of Workplace Health Promotion” for the years 2015-2017 by the Austrian Network for Workplace Health Promotion (ÖNBGF).
AMAG was selected as the winner of the Austrian Sustainability Reporting Award 2014 (ASRA) in the category “GRI-First Report". The AMAG Sustainability Report convinced the jury by means of its impressive presentation of the major topics (Strategic Sustainability Management, Compliance, Innovation, Energy Efficiency and Recycling) with forward thinking and concrete goals. With the title “Adding value through appreciation”, the report describes the economical, ecological and social action achievements of AMAG in their fiscal year 2013.
AMAG received the “Best New Participant“ award at the 2013 CDP annual conference.
The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) is an internationally active organization. With the use of standardized questionnaires, the CDP generates climate-related company data such as emissions, climate change risk factors as well as strategies for risk reduction, and holds the largest global collection of self-reported climate change data.
AMAG received an entrance score of 53 points (out of a possible 100) for the 2013 CDP reporting period – a commendable score that, according to the CDP reports, is rarely achieved by companies reporting for the first time.
The Federation of Austrian Industries awards this distinction to those companies who distinguish themselves through their achievements in social, cultural, or ecological areas.
AMAG was awarded the Bronze “CSR-Corona” sustainability award for their “AMAG-Social Award” initiative.
An example of the recognition received from our customers is the Boeing Performance Excellence Award (BPEA) in silver, which we were awarded in recognition of our excellent delivery performance of aerospace plates in 2012.
It was a bronze award for AMAG at Pegasus, the most prestigious business competition in Austria. The decision of the jury was based, to a large degree, on the outstanding strategic positioning of AMAG, the extremely positive financial results of 2011, as well as the forward-thinking design of the ownership structure and the expansion of the production facility, which is already in progress.
